Privacy policy
Propli is an AI-powered real-estate brokerage app operated by SIMS Infotech (“Propli”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information the Propli mobile app collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the controls you have over your data. By using Propli you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account & contact details — name, phone number, email address, city preference. Collected when you sign up or sign in.
- Authentication data — login tokens from Supabase, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple. Used only to keep you signed in.
- Buyer preferences — budget, BHK preference, preferred localities or zones, timeline, property-type preference, family details you choose to share. Used to match you with suitable properties.
- Chat content — the messages you send to the Propli AI advisor and the responses it returns. Used to serve your queries, improve matches, and maintain chat history.
- Voice recordings — when you tap the microphone in chat, your device records audio and sends it to our server for transcription. Audio is transmitted to OpenAI Whisper, converted to text, and discarded immediately after transcription. We store only the resulting text as part of your chat history. We never save, play back, or share raw audio files.
- Property activity — properties you save, site visits you book, ratings and feedback you submit after a visit.
- Device & push tokens — Expo push notification tokens so we can send booking reminders and chat updates. You can disable notifications at any time from the OS settings.
- Technical logs — IP address, device model, app version, request IDs, and error traces. Used for debugging and security.
2. How we use your information
- Match you with suitable properties and explain why.
- Route your bookings to the right field agent (“closer”).
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates.
- Improve the app, our AI responses, and fraud-detection systems.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not serve third-party advertising inside the app.
3. Third-party AI services we share data with
Propli's core features depend on two third-party AI services. When you use the AI chat or the microphone, your input is transmitted to these providers for processing:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes the chat messages you send so Propli can reply. Messages are sent over TLS and used per Anthropic's privacy policy.
- OpenAI (Whisper API) — transcribes voice recordings to text. Audio is sent over TLS and retained only long enough to return a transcript, per OpenAI's privacy policy. We discard the audio on our side as soon as the transcript arrives.
You will see a one-time consent prompt explaining this before the AI chat or microphone is ever invoked. You can withdraw consent at any time from Settings; doing so disables the affected features.
4. Other third-party services
- Supabase — database and authentication. Stores your profile, preferences, chat history, and property activity.
- Twilio — sends SMS and WhatsApp OTPs for phone verification.
- Resend — sends email OTPs, password resets, and welcome messages.
- Expo Push — delivers push notifications via Apple and Google push servers.
- Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple — verify your identity when you choose social login.
- Render — hosts the Propli API.
Each third party processes your data under its own published privacy policy. We share only the minimum data needed for each service to function.
5. Permissions we request
- Microphone — used only when you tap the mic button in chat. Audio is transcribed and discarded; no audio is stored.
- Internet access — required for the app to communicate with our servers.
- Notification access — required to deliver booking reminders if you opt in.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records related to completed deals).
7. Your rights
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update your profile from the app, or contact us.
- Deletion — delete your account from in-app settings, or email us.
- Objection / restriction — ask us to stop processing specific data categories.

8. Children
Propli is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard TLS in transit and encrypted storage at rest for database contents. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Internal access to production data is limited to authorised engineers and logged.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the current version.
