North and East Bangalore are the two most active residential corridors in the city, each driven by different employment anchors and infrastructure realities. Choosing between them depends on where you work, what stage of development you are comfortable with, and your budget.

Employment hubs

East Bangalore's residential growth was driven by established IT parks like ITPL Whitefield, the ORR tech corridor, and Electronic City. North Bangalore's growth is anchored by the airport, Manyata Tech Park, and the aerospace and logistics sectors in Devanahalli. Your workplace location is usually the strongest factor in this decision.

Infrastructure maturity

• East Bangalore has more mature social infrastructure with established hospitals, schools, and retail.
• North Bangalore has newer infrastructure but with gaps in some outer localities like Devanahalli and Bagalur.
• The metro serves parts of eastern Bangalore (Purple Line to Whitefield). Northern metro extensions are under construction.

Property market differences

East Bangalore's market is more mature with a wider range of ready-to-move options. Prices in established pockets like Whitefield core are higher.
